Getting Paid early before Christmas see millions struggle with Cash Flow in January
For most people there has been a 5 week wait for the pay day to come at the end of January. Statistics show that 1 in 6 will be in the red by this Monday.
Blue Monday came around as it is the most depressing day of the year!
This time of year people are stretching their monthly wages an extra week on top of additional spending over Christmas.
A survey by income streaming service Wagestream revealed that 78% of workers get paid once a month and only 3% can flexibly access their salary at any time.
Four in 10 admit to needing to borrow money before the end of the month and 12% said they spend more than half their day worrying about their financial situation.
What makes January so Miserable
- 500 people surveyed said money worries was the biggest contributor to the January Blues each year.
- 470 people blame darker mornings and evenings (36%).
